Lovely relaxing stay.

We were upgraded to a beautiful suite and were very happy! Location is great so lots of bars and restaurants available.

The day we checked in we asked about using the spa and were told we could use it at an extra cost. We were at the hotel for 2 nights so we double checked the information regarding the spa on the app and there was no mention of an additional cost for the spa. we went back to reception and asked a different member of staff who then confirmed we were given incorrect information. We lost a day of using the spa facilities but enjoyed the rest of the stay. We booked this particular hotel because we wanted to use the pool etc.

Great location close to lots of bars restaurants

Breakfast wasn’t great, we ordered off of the a la carte menu, however some of the food was taken from the buffet. Food was not hot, it was apparent that the food had been sat under the heat lamps far too long, despite attending breakfast within the first hour of service. Rooms advertised with minibar, however upon arrival the fridge simply contained two bottle of water. We expected a fully stocked minibar.

Comfortable rooms and great breakfast options

Dimly lit rooms and bathroom. Very hard if you're looking to apply makeup. Some decor could do with an update.

Nice hotel, great location. Rooms are basic but bed is incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was a standard buffet.

Stunning building, lovely staff who went out of their way to assist us

Unfortunately booking.com gives you room options for the hotel that you won’t actually get… therefore there is no point paying more to book the ‘Magistrate King’ within the original part of the hotel as it won’t be available, you will be put in a standard room in the new section. The staff did their best to assist when I pointed out we hadn’t been given the room we booked and did upgrade us to a bigger room in the modern part of the hotel, but the booking system between booking.com and the hotel is clearly flawed.

The hotel was a wonderful experience, the location is brilliant for shoreditch and 5mins walk from Old Street Station. The staff were excellent, so welcoming and helpful. Great facilities. The stay was for a birthday and the guest ambassador team were excellent, prior to our stay they helped to organise balloons, drinks and a dessert on our arrival. The swimming pool is great, it is only about 5 feet deep, but I liked that, it looked so luxurious with lovely features, We had the pool for about 20mins on our own which was very cool. Has a Sauna too, they provide so many extra's like towels, gowns and slippers. The roof top bar was fun and stylish. Wish I was there longer to use the facilities more, like the bowling alley or the cool cinema.

No complaints, unfortunately the A/C unit was not working properly on a hot day and night, they tried to fix but could not. Sadly as the hotel was fully booked, they could not move us, but they tried to help, with fans, lots of water and ice, it was appreciated.

I've booked 2 nights staying in a room with a view at this awful place with my daughter . At first while checking in I've clearly asked to be accomodate in a silent room. Our room was on top of facing the terrace bar with ongoing music from afternoon till midnight we asked to change the room as we e felt completely uncomfortable as the window of the room ( with a view was overlooking the terrace bar which was full of people, When we called to ask to change room because of that reason the person on the phone suggested us to close the blinds if we did not want to be seen ( but we booked the room with a view !!! ) The alternative room proposed was of a lower category with the window in front of a wall, so we kept the room we were accomodate and stayed with the blinds closed for 2 days and high level disgusting music for the whole time ( I work in the music business and that was the worst music I have been forced to listen to ) On Sunday morning we left the room to go out breakfast with the intention of coming back while getting ready I told out my euros money from the sale counted them as I was going to change them into euros.

It was cheap, tacky, NOT 5 star. Little style or substance. Poor standard of finish, and quality. Bar staff were rude, and most space had been taken over by a private function.

Magistrates rooms very spacious! Spa/pool area lovely Staff friendly Tube station close Gave us a free dessert for our anniversary and voucher for some prosecco in their car Bathrooms well stocked with several different types of kits

Alarm went off throughout hotel around 3am during our stay Tv wasn’t working properly, had to call someone up to fix it however it stopped working again after they had come and gone Doors very thin, can hear everything people are saying in the hall and this woke us up several times throughout the night Area can be hit and miss depending on what’s going around that time

Room was lovely and clean, bed comfortable, and it was quiet.

When checking in there was some confusion about the booking, it seemed to be sorted but then while at lunch (an hour before my wedding) I get a call to say that my booking was for August. As it was my wedding day I knew I hadn't got the date wrong and really didn't need the stress! Sent the confirmation email and then didn't hear anything back. When I called back having not heard anything I spoke to the manager who just laughed it off, someone had pressed the wrong button. No apologies, seemed like a big joke to him. Then in the morning while my new husband and I were getting ready a maid just walked into the room, an hour before checkout, without knocking, and then just stood there while we asked her to leave. Again no apologies and none when we told them at reception. Given I had pre noted that it was our wedding night we felt that the service and lack of attention was shocking. Even when we did get given two free cocktails at the bar as a 'treat' the bar maid could not have seemed more pissed off to do them for us, despite there only being two more people in the whole place on a Friday night. For us that room was a lot of money and we were really disappointed that the service didn't match up to the rest of the hotel's standards.

The room pictures provided in booking site/app is bit different from the real room. However I booked two different rooms one Magistrate and the other one which is more expensive is Xscape but surprisely the were same no different.

Good sized room Quiet at night

Feather pillows was a small issue due to allergy, when replacements were requested we received more feather pillows. A member if staff kindly corrected this when we arrived back for the evening around midnight.

The Hotel was not sound proofed you could hear every conversation, the Breakfast was ridiculous unorganised no Glasses tables not clean staff where unhelpful limited food had to wait 50 minutes for any food was told by the manager ' They didn't know how many people where there for Breakfast ' and this was our problem?? Very unorganised defiantly Not 5 Star and not worth the money ..... you will not get a decent nights sleep ................
